John Kane has over twenty five years experience in a multi modal transportation environment
providing trucking, distribution, commercial moving and storage,
and staffing services to customers in the
Mid-Atlantic area.
1998-Present - President and
CEO — The Kane Company, Baltimore, MD
Purchased the E. I. Kane Company and its subsidiaries including Office Movers, Inc. (OMI), Office Installers, Inc., Office Archives, LLC., Office Shredding, Inc., Kane 3PL and Kane Hospitality Services. Maintained responsibility for day to day activities of company and added treasury management and strategic direction oversight. Current financial position is very strong.
1992-1998 - President
— E. I. Kane, Inc., Baltimore, MD
Responsible for day to day activities of four transportation
related subsidiaries including Office Movers,Inc., International
Limousine Service, Inc., Quality Labor, Inc., and Modular
Furniture Installations, Inc. Total employment of all four
companies consists of 650 full-time and 450 part-time employees
(union & non-union) producing $40 million in annual revenue.
1989-1992 - Executive Vice President — Office Movers, Inc., Landover, MD
In charge of operations and sales for Office Movers, Inc. and
Modular Furniture Installations, Inc. Assisted in setting goals
and objectives for other subsidiaries as well as ensuring close
coordination of intercompany activities to leverage size of the
overall organization as a competitive strength.
1985-1989 -
Branch Manager — Office Movers, Inc.
Assigned the responsibility of opening seven new warehouse
facilities in the Baltimore-Washington-Northern Virginia
corridor. Hired and trained staff consisting of dispatchers,
supervisors, drivers, warehousemen and managers to operate
facility in a shared branch network environment.
1984-1985 - Service Representative — Office Movers, Inc., Landover, MD
Sold commercial moving services in the Washington, DC area.
